Whether it is a simple remodel of a few rooms or an entire addition that changes the character of your home; every construction project needs a set of building plans. Design NW specializes in custom projects such as these. The same care and attention to detail are taken with our remodel plans as with the custom home plans we provide. No doubt you have already thought about the changes you want to make to your existing house. Now is a good time to sketch your ideas on paper and start measuring rooms. You can bring in your ideas and a team member at Design NW will go over the information with you. We can schedule a visit to your home to take measurements and assess the buildings structure. Our three stage design process it exactly the same as our custom plan process. We will provide preliminary drawings at each set of floor plan changes before presenting you with the final drawings. Case Study: The Mueller Home
“Three and half years ago my husband and I were thinking of buying a new house. The thought depressed us; we would have to leave a wonderful backyard perfect for our boys. We were talking with Gary one night and gave him a draft of our existing floor plan. Before he went home that night he had given us an idea of how we could expand our house.
My husband and I were up until 1:00 am excited about the prospects of adding onto our home. We are very happy with results and are planning on using Design NW when we add on a master bathroom and walk-in closet.”

Case Study: Ranch Style Home
“Ours is a ranch style house built in 1978. Although the house was in good repair it needed an update (and a new color!) The existing living room was small and the kitchen cabinets were old. The existing dining room was deemed not necessary and was turned into a den. The family room behind the garage was converted into the new kitchen. The living room was extended 8 feet with a bay window and porch as seen in the photograph. Overall the new layout is more open and fits the needs of our lifestyle.”
